COPYRATS by Jason "Oschindler" Bretz March 31, 1997 Final Draft oschindler@aol.com ***Hello and welcome to Copyrats. This a script that I've been working on for just over a year and I am glad to say that it's finally finished. Like my other script "TTA Final Days" this one is chalked full of action, suspense, and of course a touch of romance. A couple of quick comments on the script: Like Final Days this script is also full of film references and for me they are a lot of fun to write so please "bear" with me. I have brought the worlds of Darkwing Duck, TTA, Rescue Rangers, and Ducktales all into one story so be prepared for that as well. Also, it should be stated that this script has some violence in it and so you've been forewarned. I'd like to thank RRQUEST for the amazing job of editing this "nightmare." Along with the amazing job of editing, RR provided much of the inspiration necessary to complete this work and for this I thank him. Thank you Questy! HKUriah is to be credited with story suggestions and catching those very few things that RR missed. :) HKUriah is also responsible for the distribution of this script. Thank you HKUriah! All the characters herein are copyrighted by Disney and Warner Bros. with the exception of some minor characters and "Vincent" whom is a creation of my own. I also ask that you distribute this script till your hearts contempt, but please, do not change anything within the story. Thank you. If you enjoyed this script or for that matter hated it by all means let me know as feedback is the only way I'm going to learn anything. Please Email me at oschindler@aol.com*** Now, on with the show!!!! 1. EXT. STREETS OF ST. CANARD - NIGHT From above, the city looks quite peaceful. We're gliding through the night sky aboard a St. Canard police helicopter. The helicopter makes a sudden drop towards the city. Within seconds the helicopter turns on its search light to reveal a dark blue sedan racing down the street. Close behind it are Darkwing Duck, Launchpad, and twelve police cars in hot pursuit. CU on Darkwing. DARKWING You know what I hate more than anything LP? LAUNCHPAD Having to wear dirty underwear after a shower? DARKWING No, but that's a good guess. Law breakers. How dare they rob the county museum while I'm on duty. The sedan does some quick maneuvering down the city street. The car crashes through barricades, races down one-way streets while going the wrong way, anything to loose the cops trailing closely behind. Meanwhile, just a few short miles away another high speed chase is underway. This time a triple black limousine is being pursued by an early 80's 928 Porsche with a blue rotating light spinning above it. The limo charges down the street despite the traffic that lays in front of it. INT. PORSCHE - NIGHT The Porsche has been slightly reworked on the interior, complete with police computer and 12 gauge shotgun. The driver, VINCENT, who is a twentysomething, black trenchcoat wearing, skunk, races through the gears with ease. The passenger, CALAMITY has a laptop computer on his lap. On the computer screen is a detailed map of the city along with their location and the location of other police cars. The limo is no match for the speed of the German sports car. However, when in traffic every car is equal. VINCENT This traffic really bites. **DIRECTOR'S NOTE: ANYTIME CALAMITY HAS A LINE HE HOLDS UP A SIGN A LA WILE E. COYOTE.** CALAMITY You bet. Vincent grabs the radio mike on the car's dashboard. He presses down the key. VINCENT Dispatch, where in the hell is our back up? DISPATCH Backup denied. All units are busy. And try to watch your language when transmitting. VINCENT (angrily) Right dispatch. Standing by when backup is available. Vincent slams the mike back on the hook. VINCENT I can't believe these people. Where is everybody? Calamity hammers away on the keyboard. CALAMITY Heading towards the airport. VINCENT Darkwing's at it again, eh? Well, I've had about enough of this. Hey wait a minute. . . The radio cuts Vincent off. DISPATCH Be advised your converging with Agent Darkwing's posse. You have been ordered to backoff. VINCENT (surprised) Backoff! Are they crazy! No way we're. . . Vincent once again snatches the radio mike and key's it. VINCENT (angrily) Say again dispatch your last transmission came over garbled. EXT. DARKWING'S RATCATCHER - NIGHT DARKWING Who does this rookie think he is? Garbled radio, heh? I'll show him. Darkwing snatches the radio mike. DARKWING Look rookie, this is an important high speed pursuit happening here. Backoff! VINCENT To late duckboy! The limo and Porsche join the police convoy nearly colliding with other police units. The limo races past Darkwing slipping just behind the blue sedan. They race past a sign that says "Airport deliveries." EXT. AIRPORT DELIVERY GATE - NIGHT An older, heavyset guard sits inside the gate fast asleep. He has a B&W portable TV with him. The TV is playing an episode of "The Dukes of Hazard." Moments later the blue sedan comes crashing through the wooden gate arm. Following closely behind is the Limo, Ratcatcher, Porsche, and police units. The guard however remains asleep only to periodically scratch his belly. Off in the distance a C-130 with its rear gangplank lowered, races down the runway. INT. DARKWING'S RATCATCHER - NIGHT DARKWING (pointing to the C-130) Their headed for that airplane! Vincent via Darkwing's radio. VINCENT Darkwing, move outta the way! I can take him out right here. DARKWING I thought I told you to backoff. LAUNCHPAD Uh, DW. VINCENT Give me space, ten seconds and their mine! LAUNCHPAD Uh DW! DARKWING What LP!? I'm trying to teach that rookie. . . LAUNCHPAD (pointing towards the C-130) That! The sedan and limo charge up the gangplank of the C-130. The weight of the cars forces the gangplank to the ground creating a rooster tail of sparks. INT. C-130 CARGO HOLD - NIGHT The sedan and limo slam on the brakes hard to avoid crashing into the front of the plane. Though the limo tries to stop it's massive weight plows right into the back of the sedan. In the background the runway begins to lift away. EXT. AIRPORT RUNWAY - NIGHT Darkwing and Vincent slam on the breaks hard sliding their vehicles sideways. The police units follow. Vincent bursts out of the drivers side door and jumps on the hood of the Porsche. He pulls a .44 Cal. Desert Eagle from his shoulder holster. Angrily, he fires an entire mag at the airplane. From Vincent's POV we can see the gangplank and landing gear raise as the bullets pelt the rear of the aircraft. The rest on the ground stare in disbelief as the large aircraft disappears in the night sky. Darkwing and Vincent stare down each other with controlled anger. INT. C-130 CARGO HOLD - NIGHT The drivers of the cars open the doors simultaneously. Their identity's remain hidden with ski masks. The driver of the sedan walks around to the back of the car and opens the trunk. He pulls out a large canvas bag. He walks to the rear sunroof of the limo and dumps the bag into the car. The sun roof closes. The two drivers walk over to the opposite wall where they remove two parachutes. LIMO DRIVER Nice night for a jump? SEDAN DRIVER Umm, yeah. Why? LIMO DRIVER No reason. Just making small talk. SEDAN DRIVER Cut the chase and lets just get out of here. LIMO DRIVER Agreed. That guy gives me the creeps. SEDAN DRIVER (surprised) You've seen em? LIMO DRIVER No, just talked to um. SEDAN DRIVER Under normal circumstances I would have never taken a job without knowing whom I'm working for. LIMO DRIVER But then again. . . the money was right. . . and times are. . . LIMO/SEDAN DRIVER (in unison) Anything but normal. LIMO DRIVER See ya on the ground? SEDAN DRIVER Not a chance. LIMO DRIVER That's what I thought. The two men exit the aircraft only to find that after several hundred feet their chutes have failed to open. They plummet to their doom. INT. C-130 CARGO HOLD - LIMO INT. A dim light shines from above and silhouetted in the background is what appears to be a heavy set man in a coat. A la Alfred Hitchcock. He's relaxing in the plush interior of the Limo. He opens his eyes to reveal that they are anything but human. He leans into the light. It's Fat Cat. FAT CAT Morons! Get off of that thing. I'm expecting an important call. Fat Cat's goons are playing a video game that is attached to a TV. WART Aw, gee boss. Can't we play another game? MOLE Yeah, I just cleared the fifth level. FAT CAT (angrily) Turn it off! Mole reaches up and turns off the game. At that moment the words "Incoming Call" appear on the screen. The next image we see is "the Brain." The Brain is standing at a desk and looking right into the TV camera. BRAIN Everything go according to plan? Fat Cat pulls the large crystal out of the bag and holds it up to the limo monitor. FAT CAT Not bad for a rock? BRAIN Are there any flaws? Fat Cat pulls a magnifying glass from his coat pocket and examines the diamond. FAT CAT As promised, it's perfect. You'd better be able to do what you say you can do. This is costing a fortune already. And I don't tolerate mistakes. Especially when my partners a rat. BRAIN (frowning) I'm a mouse not a rat. You'd just better make sure that your goons don't screw up. (he looks to the right) Pinky! Put that down you'll . . . A large crash is heard in the background. PINKY Sorry, Brain. . . The Brain puts his hand on his forehead in disgust. BRAIN (towards camera) As I was saying. The Crystal needs to to be flawless so I can achieve the proper frequency. (clenching fist) At which time they will be under my control. EXT. SHUSH COMMUNICATIONS CENTER - DAY BREAK A large metallic satellite dish makes the perfect foreground for the rising sun located behind it. Adjacent to the satellite is a large rectangular building with few windows and one door. INT. SHUSH COMMUNICATIONS CENTER - CONTROL ROOM In a room that resembles NASA's Mission Control a dozen or so techs sit at computers with headphones on their ears. Over the soundtrack we can hear the conclusion of the Brian's transmission. FAT CAT Excellent. And just how are all the little critters of the world? BRAIN Hungry. INT. J GANDER HOOVER'S OFFICE - EARLY MORNING The office is decorated in the style of a "Captain's Quarters" of a sailing ship. DW and Vincent pace the room while Launch Pad and Calamity sit half asleep in Hoover's red velvet chairs. In walks Hoover. J GANDER HOOVER Ahh, good morning Darkwing. Ahh Vincent, I see you've met Darkwing. He's our best agent. VINCENT (sarcastically) Right. So I've heard. DARKWING Hoover! I want this guy. . . J GANDER HOOVER I'm so glad your excited about having Vincent on our team. He's going with you. DARKWING ....out of my feathers!....Wait a minute. With me? Going? Going where? J GANDER HOOVER We've detected the signal of the C-130 to a small island off the coast of Havana. Tell me Darkwing what kind of leads do you have on this crystal caper? DARKWING We've got um. . . well, um. If this guy (to Vincent) hadn't gotten in my way! J GANDER HOOVER Ahh, yes I see. And Vincent what do you know about the stolen limo. VINCENT Well sir I. . . Calamity wakes up and gives Vincent a evil look. VINCENT (con't) I mean we. . . Calamity similes with confidence. VINCENT Have been on the trail of Douglas Carbanks, a big time black market exotic car thief. Remember that guy who stole the Duck-otti? J GANDER HOOVER Yes, a marvelous automobile. VINCENT He thought so too. Things worth 8.2 million to be exact. DARKWING Get to the point. VINCENT I was just getting to that. Anyhoo. He had his best henchman, Ferrario Bandini steal it. We haven't been able to catch him in the act. That's who we were following last night. Until, someone got in my way. J GANDER HOOVER Hmm. Where did the limo come from? VINCENT Umm. . . Vincent reaches into his pocket and pulls a business card out of his wallet. VINCENT (con't) Ahh, here it is. (handing the card to Hoover) J GANDER HOOVER Exemplary Auto Specialists? VINCENT Yeah, they specialize in strengthening autos, trucks, RV's, you name it. They do armor plating, smoke screen, ya know, Secret Agent stuff for civilians. J GANDER HOOVER How very interesting. You four will make the perfect team. DARKWING Perfect team for what? Hoover opens a drawer on his large desk and pulls out a thick file. He opens the file and briefly scans a few pages before selecting one. Launchpad begins to wake up. J GANDER HOOVER (Holding the paper up before the group) Have you seen him before? Darkwing, Vincent, LP, and Calamity look over the pages. LAUNCHPAD A cat? J GANDER HOOVER Yes a cat. His name is Fat Cat. DARKWING What does he do? Swallow furballs? (slight chuckle) J GANDER HOOVER Darkwing, this feline is a criminal mastermind. Just on a smaller scale. Heh heh. DARKWING Is this some kind of joke? J GANDER HOOVER Actually quite the contrary. Do you remember when Flash the Wonder Dog was kidnapped. VINCENT Yeah, it made all the papers. I've, never seen the show though. J GANDER HOOVER That was the work of Fat Cat. DARKWING Oh c'mon, how could a cat pull that off? J GANDER HOOVER The other voice that we heard, this "Brain" character, is a newcomer. We don't know anything about him, save that he has a background in science. VINCENT (Looking at JGH with disbelief) This is insane. LAUNCHPAD How do you guys know so much? J GANDER HOOVER (looking grim) We were hoping to keep this quiet. However, it looks like things have gotten out of hand. DARKWING What's gotten out of hand, J? J GANDER HOOVER This might come as a surprise to you, Darkwing, but within SHUSH, there is a secret division that you did not know about. A division here known only to a select few. DARKWING (balking) Secret Division!? How come I was never told about this? VINCENT(wry like) Cause it's a secret. J GANDER HOOVER It is nothing to be offended by Darkwing. You would have been bored by most their cases anyway. VINCENT Until now I take it. Right? J GANDER HOOVER (nodding) Precisely. DARKWING What a minute, where do these guys rank? J GANDER HOOVER Not to worry Darkwing, your position is safe. However, you will be working with them on this one. You need their help. DARKWING So, who are these guys anyway? J GANDER HOOVER The Rescue Rangers. DARKWING (Giving him a quizzical look) The Rescue Rangers? Hoover thumbs through the file one more time. He pulls a couple more pages from the file and gives them to Darkwing. Each page has biofacts and pictures of each Rescue Ranger team member. J GANDER HOOVER The top sheet is their leader, Chip. They have first hand knowledge of Fat Cat. Darkwing thumbs through each page and hands them to Launchpad. DARKWING (Looking dubiously from the pages to JG) You're kidding...right? LAUNCHPAD A little small aren't they? The sheets finally get to Vincent. VINCENT Hey, look at this one. (reading from sheet) Gadget Hackwrench. Specialties: engineering, inventing, pilot. . . complexity theory? Right up your alley. Eh, Calamity? Calamity snatches the sheet out of Vincent's hands. He blushes at the site of the adorable mouse. J GANDER HOOVER She's quite brilliant. You will be meeting with her and the other Rangers in the hours to come. DARKWING (to JGH) So let me get this straight. You want me to work with him while we team up with four squirrels who are going after a cat. J GANDER HOOVER Though none of them are squirrels as you say, Darkwing, that is precisely what I had in mind. That's why you're leading this reconnaissance mission. To find out what Fat Cat is up to. DARKWING This is a lousy assignment! And an outrage! J GANDER HOOVER (forceful tone) This is not a lousy assignment. And I expect your full cooperation, unless of course you wish to withdraw your free agent status from Shush. Darkwing moves away from the group to ponder what Hoover has said. VINCENT Let me get just one thing straight. Were gonna be shrunk down to the size of mice? J GANDER HOOVER Small criminals require small crimefighters. I mean that in a physical way of course. VINCENT Of course. Calamity and I are in. Right Calamity? Calamity gives an enthusiastic thumbs up. J GANDER HOOVER That's excellent. That's the kind of sprit I want to see. Darkwing? DARKWING (grudgingly) Alright, we're in. But, what I say goes. We do things my way. VINCENT Haphazardly as opposed to by the book? DARKWING That's right. Haphazardly as opposed to . . . (catching himself) Wait a minute. We do things by *my* book! Darkwing reaches into his coat and pulls out a bulky leather bound book with his picture on the cover. The title is "My Book My Way." DARKWING (con't) (smiling) Yours for only 29.95. The scene fades out. INT. BRAIN'S HEAD - DREAM SEQUENCE We start on the Brain who is running, he's running harder than we've ever seen him run before. From his POV we can see what he's running for. It's BILLIE, from the Pinky and the Brain episode "The World Can Wait." She stands there, simply smiling at him. We focus on the Brain's feet as their running as fast as they can carry him. Just when it looks like he's never gonna make it he grabs a hold of her. In a frenzy they twirl around and around and fall to the ground in each others arms. BILLIE(pillow talk soft) Egggggy. The Brain giggles as Billie plays with a tuff of fur on the top of his round head. The Brain really, really looks like he's enjoying it. At that perfect moment of bliss. All four walls begin to shrink in on the two mice. Billie and the Brain huddle together in terror as the four walls begin to be ripped apart by many giant claws. The claws, are ripping, shredding, tearing, their way through what appears to be a paper thin material. The claws appear to want the two mice really, bad. One of the claws snatches Billie from the Brain's clutches. He lunges after her but it's to late. He falls to the ground reaching out for her as she is sucked out into darkness by many evil looking claw things. The Brain then hears a loud ringing noise. He covers his ears to hide from the noise but it is of no use. Another one of the claws reaches out and grabs the Brain. It drags the Brain across the floor out past the paper thin walls into the darkness. The Brain screams. INT. BRAIN'S SLEEPING QUARTERS - EARLY MORNING BRAIN Arrrrrrgh! The Brain violently wakes up though the ringing can still be heard. His fur is completely soaked with sweat. His bed is a mess. We look from the Brain's POV. Everything's blurry. The Brain rubs his eyes and only then does everything become clear. Pinky is standing there in a maid's outfit complete with maid like headgear. Pinky has a tray with him with what appears to be the Brain's breakfast. In between Pinky's mouth is a dinner bell which he's ringing as he shakes his head up and down. BRAIN Pinky. . . .Pinky!! Pinky stops ringing the bell. He spits it out of his mouth. PINKY(extremely cheerful) Good morning Brain! (singing) It's another beautiful day in the neighborhood. A beautiful day in the neighborhood. The Brain throws the bell back at Pinky. The handle end goes right into Pinky's mouth acting as a plug. BRAIN Enough, Pinky. Pinky once again spits out the bell. PINKY What's da matter, Brain? Did you have another nightmare about Billie? Pinky tries to catch himself but it is to late. He covers his mouth with his hands letting the Brain's breakfast go all over the floor. PINKY Uh oh, I'm sorry Brain. It just, slipped. . BRAIN You know I forbid you to say her name around me. PINKY(hangs his head) I know. . .sorrrrry, Brain. BRAIN No matter, today, we have important work to do. PINKY What about Breakfast? (perking up like coffee) It's the most important meal of the day you know! BRAIN I'll have a pop-tart or something. For now it's time to contact our new partner. INT. C-130 CARGO HOLD - LIMO INT. Fat Cat and the rest of his goons lay asleep in the plush interior of the limo. Once again the words "INCOMING MESSAGE" appear on the limo monitor. Moments later the Brain's image appears on the screen. BRAIN The Brain to Fat Cat. . .come in, over. No response from Fat Cat or his goons. BRAIN (con't) The Brain to Fat Cat. . .come in, over. He pauses and then gets a perturbed look on his face. BRAIN (con't) Wake up!! Fat Cat jumps high enough to hit his head on the ceiling. He lands back on the seat with his hand on his head. He looks as though he's suffering from a hangover. The rest of the goons look awful as well. FAT CAT This had better be good. (to Brain) What is it Brain? BRAIN Your approaching the rendezvous point. I will bring you in by remote control. Have you switched the car into neutral? FAT CAT Well. . .you heard the mouse, Mole. Switch this cursed thing into Neutral. Fat Cat lowers the divider that separates the driver from the passengers. Mole quickly climbs over the seat and into the driver's compartment. He puts his hand on the shifter and pauses while scratching his head. MOLE Um. . . say um. . . which one is neutral? FAT CAT N you idiot! N! MOLE Oh yeah. Mole shifts the limo into neutral and it slowly begins to creep backward towards the cargo hatch. BRAIN Have you instructed the pilot? FAT CAT I've done one better oh brilliant associate of mine. BRAIN Your sure? FAT CAT (angrily) Yes. And don't ask me again. BRAIN(evil smile) Very well. At this time I'd advise you to buckle your seat belts. Your in for one hoot of a ride. Pinky steps into the monitors background. PINKY (excitedly) Oh how I do love rides! There's this one at Magic Fountain. . . The Brain shakes his head in disgust. BRAIN See you on the ground. Oh and yes. I wouldn't open any windows if I were you. The Brain leaves with an evil grin and signs off. Fat Cat reaches inside his pocket and pulls out a small green remote. INT. C-130 CARGO HOLD - MORNING The rear hatch of the C-130 begins to open. The light of a new day floods the cargo hold with sun. The limo eases out to the rear hatch's ramp which causes it to accelerate greatly. It then tumbles off into the clear blue sky. EXT. FAT CAT'S LIMO - MORNING We can see the limo tumble through the air while the C-130 flies off in the distance. Mole who is in the front seat, has his face pressed against the windshield from the G forces. INT. FAT CAT'S LIMO - MORNING Fat Cat has his seat belt buckled while the rest of his goons flop around the cabin. Fat Cat holds out the remote control and pushes a button. A red light shines from the remote. INT. C-130 CAPTAINS COCKPIT - MORNING The camera is nested behind two pilots. We can only see the backs of their heads. PILOT ONE You'd better go back there and see what's going on. PILOT TWO Alright. We've got to get that sensor fixed. With hardly any weight aboard it's difficult to tell weither or not the ramp is down. I'll be right back. Pilot Two puts on a gas mask and we truck with him to the rear of the plane. He hits a button that says "Close Ramp." The ramp begins to close and as it nears the top he begins to pulls off his mask. He looks in the front seat of the blue sedan Nothing. However, as he moves into the rear seat we can see a red digital timer strapped to an extra large brick of C-4 explosive. The timer is at seven seconds and counting. EXT. C-130 - MORNING The large C-130 explodes in a massive ball of flames. It falls helplessly into the ocean. EXT. FAT CAT'S LIMO - MORNING The limo tumbles ferociously in the air. INT. FAT CAT'S LIMO - MORNING Fat Cat trying to hold onto his lunch braces him self while the goons continue to bounce around the cabin. The message "INCOMING CALL" appears on the TV screen. It's the Brain again. BRAIN (angrily) What in Capurinicas's name was that? FAT CAT (difficulty speaking) Ta-ke-ing care of bus-ness. BRAIN I should let you die of gravity poisoning. I don't "want to die" cries from the goons fill the cabin. FAT CAT What a-bout the crys-tal? The Brain ponders the thought for a moment. BRAIN (angrily) Drat. EXT. FAT CAT'S LIMO - MORNING The limo continues to tumble aimlessly through the air. The trunk lid blows off and out pops an extra large parachute causing the limo to drastically reduce speed. However, the nose of the car points downward. The four hubcaps blow off from the wheels of the limo and little rockets pop out. They ignite and slowly steer the gently falling limo to safety. INT. SHUSH HEAD QUARTERS - COMMISSARY - DAY The Commissary is empty with the exception of a few patrons and our heroes, Darkwing, Launchpad, Vincent, and Calamity. They are sitting around a circular table in the back. Most of them have finished their snacks. VINCENT Has anyone here heard of the Smurfs? DARKWING No. What praytell is a Smurf? VINCENT Well, the Smurfs were these little blue people about three apples high and they wore these funny hats. DARKWING What do the Smurfs have to do with anything? VINCENT I was just making a comparison to this mission. The small part that is. I just wonder what its gonna be like. You know, small. DARKWING (war strory mode) I was shrunk once. There was this guy in St. Canard called Lilliput... In bursts a young girl. She's wearing a messengers apron. She rushes over to Darkwing's table. MESSENGER GIRL Darkwing. Darkwing Duck? DARKWING(jumping up) That's me. MESSENGER GIRL Director Gander wants to see you in his office right away. DARKWING Thanks. I'll be right there. VINCENT (standing up as well) What about us? MESSENGER GIRL You guy's are to meet G in the weapons lab. VINCENT (nodding) We're there. INT. SHUSH HEAD QUARTERS - WEAPONS LAB - DAY A sign on the outer door of the weapons lab says "Welcome to the Weapons Lab - Don't touch anything!" The lab is rather large and houses some of the most sophisticated contraptions ever built. There's a myriad of cars, firearms, motion trackers, and other tools used in the field of secret agents. Launchpad, Vincent, and Calamity stand waiting for G. LAUNCHPAD Where does he get those wonderful toys? VINCENT Yeah. There's definitely some cool stuff. Gyro Gearloose AKA "G" appears dressed in a white lab coat. G How's it going boys? VINCENT Just fine G. What have you got for us? G First, your going to need some transportation. Follow me. They now stand in front of two British racing green HumVees. The first appears to be a normal Hummer with a wagon rear end. The second is just like the first except this one has a large British racing green trailer attached to the back of it. G These are fully armored personal carriers. They've had the diesel engines replaced with electric motors. The extra large roofs make for excellent solar collectors. Thus, making them stealth. No diesel fumes. No motor noise. No heat. VINCENT They're fantastic G. What's with the RV? G Please step inside. INT. SHUSH HEADQUARTERS - WEAPONS LAB - G'S RV The trailer has every inch packed with electronics equipment. There's enough room for four people to stand while a tech sits at the controls. G State of the art electronics should make this trip a snap. Motion trackers, high frequency radios, temperature sensors. VINCENT Groovy. Calamity, she's all yours, figure out what makes her tick. I take it were taking all the usual hardware? G I'm glad you brought that up. Follow me. INT. SHUSH HEADQUARTERS - WEAPONS LAB Calamity stays in the trailer while the rest step outside. G I was thinking ahead this time. G opens a hatch on the side of the trailer. It exposes some headset radios. He opens a larger one which houses some weapons. LAUNCHPAD That's one heck of a station wagon. Vincent grabs a shotgun from the rack. He checks the chamber and racks the slide. At that moment Darkwing enters. DARKWING Put that down before it goes off. VINCENT (snidely) Aye-Aye sir. Vincent puts the shotgun back on the rack with the rest of the firearms. Darkwing pokes his head through the door of the trailer. INT. SHUSH HEADQUARTERS - WEAPONS LAB - G'S RV DARKWING(to calamity) We've located where Fat Cat is headed. There's about eight hours of prepping, followed by four hours flight time. Calamity, your gonna stay here until work is completed on this thing. Don't let me down. Alright, we've got a date with the Smurfs. (turns to G) Gyro, shrink us down. Everyone walks off leaving Vincent and Calamity. VINCENT (to Calamity) Don't worry about him. Just do the best you can. We'll see ya in a couple of hours. DARKWING(OS) (a la Sean Connery in the Rock) Losers always whine about. . . VINCENT I don't wanna hear it! Vincent turns to Calamity smiling. VINCENT Just do what you can, pal. CALAMITY Sure thing. Calamity begins hammering away at the various keyboards shaking his head in disgust for none of the settings are in the proper place. INT. SHUSH HEADQUARTERS - WEAPONS LAB - SHRINKING MACHINE The shrinking machine looks like a large diving tank complete with windows. Launchpad, Darkwing, and Vincent, cautiously step into the massive machine. They all look a worried. Gyro speaks to them through a two-way speaker located inside the shrinking machine. LAUNCHPAD Uh, Gyro? Uh, I mean G. Are you sure about this? G Certainly. Ready? DARKWING Just do it, Gyro! Gyro pushes a few buttons and then pulls on a large lever. A loud whirling noise fills the air followed by a bright light. Moments latter the door opens and out comes three mouse sized crimefighters. The three look a little delirious. VINCENT Whoa. This feels weird. Vincent checks his large, fluffy, skunk tail. VINCENT (con't) Whew! Still there. Darkwing shakes his head out of the clouds. DARKWING Gyro! G Yes, Darkwing. DARKWING Take us to the Rescue Rangers. INT. FAT CAT'S LIMO - DAY The limo "still nose down" is approaching the island. The little rockets continue to fire. Fat Cat, Mepps, and Wart sit in the now topsy-turvy limo interior. Mole sits in the drivers seat, sort of. FAT CAT There must be faster ways of landing this thing. MEEPS Yeah. I'm bored out of my mind. FAT CAT (disgusted) I'm amazed that you have a mind to be bored with. MOLE Gee, look at all of the pretty flowers. EXT. BRAIN'S ISLAND - DAY The limo has now approached the dense foliage commonly known as rain forest. With a loud "clang!" the limo lands on a track similar to the one at Disneyland's Autopia Raceway. It then begins racing along the track like a 70's toy slot car. INT. FAT CAT'S LIMO - DAY The group looks out their respective windows. Out of nowhere a large pack of rats begin to pelt the front of the limo. The rats are about the size of a New York sewer rat. Some are gray and some are black however all have red eyes and sharp slime covered fangs. They charge the limo like lemmings jumping into the sea. Their speed combined with the limo's velocity causes them to smash into the limo's windshield. Blood and fur flies everywhere. Mole jumps from the drivers compartment into Fat Cats arms. FAT CAT Excellent! He pulled it off! I don't believe it! He actually pulled it off! The world is mine! (evil laugh) INT. RESCUE RANGERS RANGER PLANE - NIGHT Gadget and Chip sit in the front seat of the Ranger Plane while LP, DW, and Vincent sit in the rear. Darkwing is unamused by the low-tech aircraft. DARKWING I can't believe this thing actually flies. It's got a bleach bottle for a hull. Vincent leans over, in-between the two front seats smiling. VINCENT I think you've got a real nice plane Miss Gadget. Darkwing mimics Vincent. Vincent leans back in his chair. He looks to Darkwing. VINCENT What!? The plane quickly descends on the Rescue Rangers Headquarters. INT. RESCUE RANGER HEADQUARTERS - DINING ROOM/KITCHEN- NIGHT The Rangers are sitting around the dining table with their new quests. Dale, Monterey, and Zipper have joined the gang. Most have finished their meals, Vincent stares at his near empty coffee cup made out of a hollow acorn. The moment feels a tad awkward. CHIP So. . .how many missions is this for you Mr. Darkwing? DARKWING My name isn't Mr. Darkwing. It's Darkwing. And I've done more missions than the acorns on this tree! DALE(in an attempt to change the subject) That outfit is really neat! I'll bet your cape is bullet proof... DARKWING I don't need a bulletproof cape. DALE Uh...why not? DARKWING(evily) One look at me and the criminals run in fear... MONTEREY(teasing like) So you and the Phantom of the Opera are good friends, huh? DARKWING Watch who your insulting lardball, in fact, are you sure you've been shrunk down? I think Gyro's computer had a glitch.. MONTEREY Why you little... DARKWING(boasting) ...or maybe your just big boned? Vincent interrupts in a calm yet forceful tone. VINCENT (snidly) Excuse me. Mr. Darkwing sir. Can I have a word with you? Vincent makes several gestures indicating he wants to go over in the corner to talk. They both get up and go over in the corner. Everyone stares. CHIP Now look what you've done, Monterey!? GADGET You were just kidding, right? Monty? Monterey has become hot and bothered by the peeved duck. CHIP They haven't been here for 30 minutes already you've upset them. GADGET(to Launchpad) We're sorry if we hurt your friend's feelings. LAUNCHPAD(shrugging) Aw, it's okay. He'll get over it. The cape and mask are part of being a crimefighter. The idea is to (in darkwing tounge) strike fear into the minds of criminals. GADGET(to Launchpad) Where's your cape and mask? LAUNCHPAD Rule number one in the sidekick hand book. CHIP And that is...? LAUNCHPAD Never outdress the hero. CHIP AND GADGET Ohh.. Chip turns to Dale. CHIP(wry like) I guess we don't have that problem do we Dale? Why don't you see if you can clear the table without destroying anything. Dale leaves the table trying to hide his anger from Chip's last sarcastic remark. He turns to say something in anger but decides to shrug it off instead. Dale harshly stacks the dishes. MONTEREY(cooling off) Com'on Zip me pally. Let's help Dale with the dishes. ZIPPER (saluting) Yes sir. The three begin clearing the table while Darkwing and Vincent argue to themselves. DARKWING It's down right rude! VINCENT Lower your voice. DARKWING My voice *is* lowered! INT. KITCHEN AREA - NIGHT Dale is carrying a large load of dishes over to the sink. He dumps them in and wipes his hands on a near by towel. He looks around a bit. Then, something catches his eye. DALE Oh boy! Secret agent stuff! INT. RESCUE RANGER HEADQUARTERS - DINING ROOM/KITCHEN- NIGHT DARKWING But they started it! VINCENT Shhhhhhh. Do not act like this in front of me when we are in their home. Is that clear? DARKWING(angrily) Don't you talk down to me! I'm your senior officer. INT. ENTRY HALLWAY - NIGHT Vincent's trench coat hangs on an overstuffed chair as does Darkwing's cape. Dale checks out Darkwing's cape with great expectation. All of the sudden. . ."POOF!" A large cloud of purple smoke emits out of the cape. Dale stumbles around a bit, dazed from the effects of the smoke. He coughs a little and sets his hand on the chair to steady himself, knocking over Vincent's trenchcoat. It hits the floor with a loud "THUD." Dale wipes his watery eyes and looks down, amused. INT. RESCUE RANGER HEADQUARTERS - DINING ROOM/KITCHEN- NIGHT VINCENT I know Chip's a threat to your all mighty right to the throne. But. . DARKWING Stop taking their side! And he's not a threat to my throne! VINCENT I'm not taking their side. INT. ENTRY HALLWAY - NIGHT Dale picks up the trench coat from off of the floor. He pulls the coat aside to reveal what thumped. It's Vincent's Desert Eagle tucked neatly in it's holster. Dale earnestly looks at the weapon. INT. RESCUE RANGER HEADQUARTERS - DINING ROOM/KITCHEN- NIGHT DARKWING (poking Vincent in the chest) I will not tolerate mutiny on this mission! VINCENT(con't) Who said anything about mutiny? I'm going back over there to finish my roasted coffee served in a acorn. And your gonna be nice to our hosts. INT. ENTRY HALLWAY - NIGHT Dale carefully picks up the coat with the holstered Desert Eagle still attached. INT. RESCUE RANGER HEADQUARTERS - DINING ROOM/KITCHEN- NIGHT VINCENT Now as far as the mission goes I will follow you anywhere you want to go. I will take any order you give. But technically, we are not on the mission just yet. So, at this moment I'd like you to stop acting like an jackass and act more like. . .a friend. Truce? INT. ENTRY HALLWAY - NIGHT Dale tries to set the trench coat back onto the chair, unfortunatly for Dale, the gun has caught itself on the arm of the chair. Dale pulls on the coat causing the heavy weapon to rub up against it, thusly causing the safety to be released. INT. KITCHEN AREA - NIGHT Monterey sets down an even bigger pile of dishes than Dale had. He looks around. Only to find Zipper. MONTEREY I wonder where me pally went? ZIPPER(shrugging) I don't know. Monterey wipes his hands together with the towel in the same fashion that Dale did. He motions for the hallway. INT. ENTRY HALLWAY - NIGHT Dale has finally got the coat to set on the back of the chair. Dale turns away from the chair and brushes his hands together for a job well done. However, the coat once again begins to fall. Monterey and Zipper round the hallway and "gasp." INT. RESCUE RANGER HEADQUARTERS - DINING ROOM/KITCHEN- NIGHT Vincent reaches out his hand. Darkwing extends his hand. But at that moment a shot rings out. **BOOM!!** A hole is ripped right through the wall parallel to where the dining table is. The shot rips right past Gadget, Chip, and Launchpad. The projectile continues on until it fly's right in-between Darkwing's beak and Vincent's muzzle. Both Vincent and Darkwing "duck" behind whatever cover maybe near. Gadget, Chip, and Launchpad, fly under the table. FADE OUT: INT. ENTRY HALLWAY - NIGHT The camera opens on a very frightened Dale. He's white with fear and laying on the ground against the wall. The smoking gun lays beside him with the hammer cocked back waiting to be fired again. One by one the rest of the gang enters the hallway. The mood is *really* awkward. VINCENT That was close. . . Vincent bends down beside Dale and picks up the weapon from the floor. He cautiously pulls the slide back letting the chambered round fall to the ground. He ejects the mag leaving the high caliber weapon empty. . .and harmless. Gadget kneels down by Dale's side. CHIP Everyone's alright. . .right? LAUNCHPAD Looks that way. Darkwing comes busting through the doorway leading to the entry way. DARKWING Alright! Where is he!? (finds dale) You almost shot me! What were you thinking? MONTEREY What are ya blaming Dale for? He's not the one who left a loaded weapon out in the open! DARKWING He (pointing to Vincent) didn't know there were children running round! MONTEREY Children!? Dale is one of the finest mates I know. DARKWING Explain what he was doing with a firearm he wasn't supposed to have! MONTEREY Explain what a weapon like that is doing out in the open! Vincent looks to Gadget. They're in their own little conversation. VINCENT I'm sorry. I never meant for any of this to happen. GADGET Fortunately. . .no one was hurt. VINCENT How is he? GADGET He'll be alright in a little while. We need to get him to his room. VINCENT Right. Monterey and Darkwing have got there sleeves rolled up and are ready to go round and round. Chip holds off Monterey while Launchpad holds off Darkwing. MONTEREY You want a piece of me do ya!? DARKWING (evil eyed) Just give me an excuse. INT. DALE'S ROOM - NIGHT The door busts wide open. Vincent and Gadget carry Dale between them into the bedroom right up to the bed. They carefully lay him down. Vincent stares at Dale in a concerned manner then leaves. Gadget stays behind to comfort Dale. Dale is now mildly awake. DALE Did I. . GADGET No no, it's okay Dale. No one was hurt. INT. RESCUE RANGER HEADQUARTERS - DINING ROOM/KITCHEN- NIGHT Everyone except Gadget and Dale sit back at the dining table. VINCENT(holding up mug) I want everyone drinking decafe from now on. CHIP Well, what now? DARKWING I'll tell you what now!? LAUNCHPAD Easy. .DW. VINCENT(to Launchpad) Thank you. DARKWING Nothing changes. Except, he's not going with us. CHIP But Dale's part of our team. DARKWING That part of your team almost got me shot. VINCENT(looking away, shameful) I guess it's partly my fault. I didn't want this to happen. I didn't know. . . MONTEREY Didn't know. . .humph. VINCENT Look. It's proper procedure for us to carry our weapon. . .all the time. MONTEREY How come you didn't have it then. VINCENT(angry) Cause it's not proper to have such a piece of hardware at the dinner table! DARKWING Easy. Easy. VINCENT Alright. I'm cool. But had I known someone was going to be creeping around our stuff I wouldn't of let it outta my sight. MONTEREY(putting up his fists) So ya calling us thieves are ya!? Zipper mimics. VINCENT Maybe I am? CHIP This bickering isn't going solve our Dale problem. DARKWING There isn't a Dale problem. He stays here. MONTEREY On what authority? DARKWING On the authority that I'm in charge here! MONTEREY(pointing to Chip) I answer only to him. VINCENT I'm partly to blame here. If he stays, I stay. DARKWING I don't believe this. LAUNCHPAD Awe come on DW. . .give the kid a chance. At that moment Gadget walks into the room. GADGET There's some one here that has something to say to you. Gadget gestures to someone to her right. A teary eyed Dale enters the doorway. From Dale's POV we see that everyone is staring right at him. It's by far the toughest moment in Dale's life. DALE I'm. . . . .I'm sorry. Vincent gestures to Darkwing. VINCENT Well. . .? Darkwing ponders the thought for a moment. DARKWING(reluctantly) Alright, he goes. (to Chip) But he's your baggage. CHIP (Chip looks to Dale evilly) Will take care of him, alright. (to Darkwing) You're in charge. We'll follow your orders. (to Monterey and Zipper) All of us. DARKWING Alright. Let's get dangerous! EXT. ALANTIC OCEAN - EARLY MORNING A white Cessna hovers just above the deep blue ocean. It's flight path is smooth and straight. INT. CESSNA REAR CARGO HOLD - EARLY MORNING In the cargo hold of the small aircraft are Darkwing, Chip, Gadget, Dale, Vincent, Calamity, Launchpad, Monterey, and Zipper. Plus, the two HumVees and a piece of equipment that we have yet to see. A small airplane that appears to be a toy but after closer inspection it's very much real. All of which have been shrunken down at this point. Gadget and Launchpad check out the mouse sized airplane. While a normal sized pilot fly's the non-shrunken Cessna. LAUNCHPAD I can't help but feel weird. GADGET Why's that? LAUNCHPAD I'm flying in a plane but I'm not flying it. GADGET Your really into planes. .aren't you? LAUNCHPAD Yup. My entire family flies. Even my kid sister. GADGET(sorrowful) My father was a pilot too. LAUNCHPAD Really!? We'll have to go flying some time. GADGET I'm afraid not. LAUNCHPAD(pause) I'm sorry. I didn't. . GADGET It's okay. I've gotten over it. . . kind of. The camera pans over to Calamity, Dale and Vincent. Vincent and Calamity are "showing off" proper handgun safety to Dale. DALE These sure are neat! VINCENT Sure. When you know the proper way to use them. Take Calamity here for instance. Show the boy my coyote companion. Calamity and Vincent get up and walk over to the hood of one of the HumVees. Dale follows. Calamity pulls a bandanna from out of his pocket. He quickly wraps the bandanna around his head, blinding him. Monterey and Zipper come over to watch. MONTEREY What is this? A circus sideshow? VINCENT Nope. Better. (to Calamity) You ready pal? Calamity nods. With that Vincent pulls the Desert Eagle out from it's holster and hands it to Calamity. Calamity neatly sets the weapon in front of him. Vincent arms his wristwatch stopwatch. VINCENT Ready? Calamity nods and wiggles his fingers in anticipation. VINCENT (hitting stopwatch) Go! Calamity's fingers work like magic over the heavy weapon. He first checks that the safety is on. He then hits the mag release. The magazine hits the metal hood with a loud thump. Next he pulls the slide back ejecting the live round. Next, he hits the barrel lock pin to disassemble the weapon. The weapon falls apart with ease. Vincent checks his watch. VINCENT You're doing fine. Calamity sets all the pieces so that they are apart from each other. He then quickly reassembles the weapon with finesse. The spring plate meets the piston which meets the frame which meets the barrel. He aligns the frame and barrel of the weapon and then pushes the nose of the pistol into the hood of the HumVee. He slaps the mag in hard and racks the slide letting a fresh round enter the chamber. He carefully lays the loaded weapon on the hood of the truck as before. This took all of about twenty seconds. VINCENT Time! Dale and Monterey stare at each other in disbelief. MONTEREY These guys are bloomin nuts. Dale simply nods his head. Vincent holsters his weapon. Calamity removes the blindfold. He shakes his head to get his orientation back. VINCENT(sarcastic) And all this time you thought nuts were for squirrels. We cut over to Chip and Darkwing who have some high-tech black & white photos that have been taken by a satellite. They also have a detailed map of the island. They've been going over and over the plans for quite some time now. You can see it in their eyes. DARKWING Let's go over this one more time. The satellites could only pick up four possible places where these guys could be. CHIP (pointing to four spots on the map) These four here. DARKWING Right. We've got heat coming from this northern area next to the river. The other two are to the west by the beach. CHIP The fourth being in the center of the Island. A small volcano? DARKWING They all could be. That's why were mobile. You'll go with Launchpad in the miniplane. Vincent, Dale, Gadget, Monterey and Zipper will ride in one HumVee. Calamity and I will take the other and stay behind with the gear. CHIP And we don't contact Admiral Grimmitz's Aircraft Carrier until we've found what were looking for. DARKWING(con't) (nodding) Right. If the situation calls for it we then initiate Operation: Pink Rabbit. When that time comes his boys will launch a beachhead assault and get us off the island. CHIP Hopefully, before the airstrike team comes in. DARKWING If not, it's Chipmunk soup for an appetizer, and Duck for dinner. CHIP Looks like everything's a go. (gulp) I hope. DARKWING Don't worry. That's why I'm here. I'll be watching. . .everything. I'll jump in if trouble arises... CHIP Do you think they'll see us coming? DARKWING Not if this pilot knows what he's doing. The waves should camouflage this plane from any radar... The normal sized pilot grabs the mike. The radio on Darkwing's belt belches. PILOT Three minutes to touchdown. DARKWING Roger that. (putting down the radio) Everyone! Touchdown in three minutes! Everyone quickly assembles the equipment and gets into their assigned seats within the vehicles. All grab headsets that let them communicate with one another. The headsets have a small microcam strapped to the side of them. EXT. BRAIN'S ISLAND - MORNING The airplane banks hard to the right and continues to fly low over the ocean below. Once over dry land the Cessna lowers it's rear hatch. INT. CESSNA - MORNING The sled that the vehicles are strapped onto begins to slide out of the aircraft. Much like the military drops vehicles from a C-130. Parachutes emit from the rear of the sled dragging it out with ease. The wings from the Miniplane help keep the sled level. EXT. BRAIN'S ISLAND - MORNING The sled is now completely out of the aircraft. Quickly our hero's sled slams into the beachhead and slides a long way before coming to a stop. The Cessna is headed back from which it came. EXT. BRAIN'S ISLAND - BEACH HEAD - MORNING We can see our heroes in their respective vehicles. . .frozen stiff. They weren't ready for such a ride. INT. MINIPLANE - MORNING CHIP Is it over? LAUNCHPAD I think so. CHIP Good. INT. VINCENT'S HUMVEE - MORNING VINCENT Everyone okay? Still stunned, the crew gives a half hearted thumbs up. VINCENT(con't) (to radio) Darkwing? INT. DARKWING'S HUMVEE - MORNING Darkwing drives while Calamity rides shotgun. DARKWING(adjusting himself) (into the mike) Everybody okay? LAUNCHPAD AND VINCENT(in unison) Yeah. DARKWING Okay, Calamity. Release us. Calamity flips up the lid up on the laptop. He picks it up and dumps it upside down. Sand pours from within the keyboard going all over the place. He shakes his head in disbelief. He gives the computer a good dusting off and begins typing. It works. CALAMITY Clear. EXT. BRIAN'S ISLAND - BEACH HEAD - MORNING The latches release the vehicles from the sled making a loud clang. The HumVee's take off whisper quiet while Launchpad fires up the miniplane. Darkwing's HumVee pulls the trailer with little difficulty. Launchpad and Chip have the plane flying in no time. INT. DARKWING'S HUMVEE - MORNING DARKWING Let's find a place to park this rig, Calamity. (to radio) How's the miniplane LP? INT. MINIPLANE - MORNING LAUNCHPAD A bit squirrely if you don't mind the pun. . .heh heh. Chip rolls his eyes at the bad pun. CHIP Are you okay Gadget? INT. VINCENT'S HUMVEE - MORNING GADGET(cheerfully) Just fine. I've got Dale, Monty, and Zipper to keep me company. Dale makes faces at the miniplane. INT. MINIPLANE - MORNING CHIP Right. Great. Chip sighs and then slouches down in his seat. Launchpad sees this. LAUNCHPAD(concerned) What's the matter little guy? CHIP Nothing. LAUNCHPAD Sure there is. CHIP Just fly the plane. LAUNCHPAD Okay. But I can tell when something's going on. (slight pause) Your in love with her, aren't ya. CHIP No. . .well. . yeah. I suppose. LAUNCHPAD You suppose? INT. VINCENT'S HUMVEE - MORNING Chip has forgotten to turn off his headset. Everyone can hear what he's saying. Everyone waits with anticipation like an abandoned housewife tuned into her favorite soap opera. That is all except Gadget who remains blushing in the front passenger seat as she tries to not make eye contact with any one in the vehicle. CHIP Alright! You got me. So I'm in love with her. What are you gonna do about it? LAUNCHPAD(chuckling) Nothing. . .I'll just fly the plane. CHIP Then why did you ask? Geeez. INT. DARKWING'S HUMVEE - MORNING Darkwing and Calamity listen in with just as much enthusiasm. Darkwing snaps out of it when he sees the perfect spot to hide the truck and trailer. DARKWING(pointing) Were gonna tuck her in right over there. (to radio) Vincent? INT. VINCENT'S HUMVEE - MORNING VINCENT Yes sir. INT. DARKWING'S HUMVEE - MORNING DARKWING Were gonna drop this rig in that brush just ahead of you. INT. VINCENT'S HUMVEE - MORNING VINCENT Roger that. INT. DARKWING'S HUMVEE - MORNING DARKWING Good, standby. LP? INT. MINIPLANE - MORNING LAUNCHPAD Yeah, DW? INT. DARKWING'S HUMVEE - MORNING DARKWING Continue on your present course. Remember, your headed to the northern most point. Just do a fly by and then report back to me. Got it? We can hear Launchpad through Darkwing's headset. LAUNCHPAD Roger that DW. On our way. DARKWING Good. And let's keep the radio chatter to a minimum. INT. MINIPLANE - MORNING With a gasp, Chip finally comes to the realization that everyone has heard what he has had to say. He blushes in total embarrassment and sulks yet even further than before. He smacks his forehead with the palm of his hand. DARKWING(con't) Cause, we don't know who might be listening. INT. BRAIN'S LABORATORY - DAY The Brain monitors the controls of his super computer. Fat Cat watches closely behind. BRAIN Yes, my dear Darkwing. You *never* know who'll be listening. The Brain turns to Fat Cat with anger. BRIAN(con't) You brought them here!? FAT CAT No. . I. . it was. . BRAIN They must of tracked your cursed explosion. But how could they find the island so fast? (PAUSE) When I talked to you in the limo. FAT CAT How? The frequencies are custom! BRAIN The Crystal. Cursed all. The crystal has the power to amplify radio signals. It must of bled over to another frequency. Rats! FAT CAT But what will we do about them? BRAIN Fortunately, if my calculations our correct. . .and they always are. They'll head to the hottest points on the island. FAT CAT(clenching fists) Ewoooo. A massacre. I like it all ready. BRAIN Exactly. FAT CAT But what about the bird in the air? BRAIN I've got that covered too. Follow me. Brain gets up and Fat Cat follows. INT. BRAIN'S LAB - GEN FACTORY The Brain leads Fat Cat through a maze of high tech circuitry, pipes, and catwalks. They finally reach the Gen Factory. Fat Cat is impressed. FAT CAT I'm amazed at what you've done with the place. BRAIN Naturally. If your going to take over the world you might as well do it with some style. The camera pans back to reveal twelve enormous glass cylinders each filled with somekind of clear fluid. Each carrying a specimen inside. The specimen looks like a. . .bat. A large flesh eating, steroid pumped, black bat. BRAIN Pinky! The camera pans over to Pinky who is running aimlessly in a wire wheel made for caged hamsters. He looks awfully tired. PINKY Right. . .O. . Brain. Narf. BRAIN Pinky! What does the timer read? PINKY Uh. . .there's a one! Uh. . a. . zero. . and uh two. BRAIN Excellent. FAT CAT What on Earth is he doing? BRAIN Oh that's just Pinky. My partner. His wheel is connected to the Genetic Reproducer acting as a power supply. If Pinky read the numbers right. . .and I hope he did. In about an hour my genetically cloned bats will take to the sky crushing anything that gets in their way. FAT CAT(boastfully) Beautiful! *That's* the reason I don't have you for a snack! Fat Cat slaps the Brain on the back, hard. Brain looks to Fat Cat in disgust. BRAIN The reason you don't have me for a snack may I remind you dear Fat Cat, is that without me, you don't have the slightest idea of how any of this works. It was my genius that made this happen. My work. My heart and soul was put into this. After the love of my life died all I wanted was revenge. The drug that they put into her Increased her intelligence far past my own. Later it killed her. The very same drug contained a virus. A virus so deadly it was immediately destroyed. All except what was in her body. My children, however, are totally immune to the virus making them the perfect carriers. When they are set upon the population in a matter of weeks they will have contaminated the entire planet wiping every lifeform off of the face of the Earth. I needed the crystal to control them. Without the crystal they will run rampant and chaos will reign. However, with the crystal they are totally under my control. Without me. You're just a common thief. Don't forget that. Fat Cat is to say the lest displeased. He growls a bit but quickly comes to the realization that the mouse is right. EXT. DARKWING'S MOBILE HEAD QUARTERS - DAY Darkwing's HumVee sits detached from the communications trailer. Both are camouflaged well with the surrounding jungle. INT. DARKWING'S COMMUNICATION'S TRAILER - DAY Calamity works the controls while Darkwing watches closely over his shoulder. The computer system that Calamity runs looks right out of Star Trek. His console has six monitors (each one numbered #1-#6) and two keyboards. Calamity sits in a small chair that can slide in any direction and can be locked into place when the trailer is moving. Right now we are looking at the POV of #2 Launchpad's, #3 Vincent's, #4 Dales, #5 Gadget's, helmet cams. Monitor #1 is a camera mounted on the front of Darkwing's HumVee. The #6 monitor is a electronic monochrome mockup of an above view of the trailer's surroundings. This is the motion tracker display. It acts much like radar on a large ship. Calamity looks a tad bored but moves the controls with ease. Darkwing is totally focused with the monitors. EXT. VINCENT'S HUMVEE - DAY The HumVee quickly but carefully runs over the thick grass covered ground with ease. Vincent is at the helm of the truck while Gadget rides shotgun with Dale, Zipper, and Monterey in the rear passenger seats. Vincent is forced to slam on the breaks. INT. VINCENT'S HUMVEE - DAY Everyone is thrown forward but is restrained with the seatbelts. Except Zipper who has been stuffed into the back of Gadget's leather seat. Monterey carefully pulls his friend out. Zipper is not pleased. VINCENT Sorry about that. MONTEREY What seems to be the trouble mate? VINCENT We have a slight problem. GADGET Uh guys. . Gadget looks out of her window straight down. EXT. VINCENT'S HUMVEE - DAY The HumVee is hanging on an edge of what is now a deadly cliff to our pint sized crime fighters. The water current that races below could easily crush the toy like truck. Vincent goes to open the door. He can now look straight down. He quickly shuts the door. VINCENT Darkwing? We have a small problem. INT. MINIPLANE - DAY Launchpad and Chip are almost near their target. Chip looks down at the ground with a pair of binoculars. LAUNCHPAD Anything? CHIP Something. . LAUNCHPAD What is it? CHIP I can't tell from here. Fly east Launchpad. LAUNCHPAD You got it little buddy. EXT. MINIPLANE - DAY Launchpad banks the plane hard to the right. INT. DARKWING'S COMMUNICATION TRAILER - DAY DARKWING What is he doing? Switch on the map. Calamity hammers away at a few keys bringing up a computer generated map of the island pinpointing the exact locations of the vehicles, occupants and target points. DARKWING He's changing course? Why is he changing course? CALAMITY Don't ask me. Ask him! DARKWING Launchpad! Your heading in the wrong direction! LAUNCHPAD(over radio) Chip sees something DW. We'll be on it any moment now. GADGET (over radio) Uh. . were gonna be detained for quite some time I'm afraid. .. INT. MINIPLANE - DAY Chip scans the horizon. LAUNCHPAD Do ya see anything yet? CHIP. Almost. Just a little further. We are now looking through Chip's binoculars. We see what he sees. There a several objects that look dark and fuzzy but it's difficult to make them out. The binoculars are bouncing up and down and are unfocused. CHIP A little more. . . The objects are still unfocused. Then by some fortune everything becomes clear. All twelve of the Brain's Bat Air Force are headed right towards the miniplane. Back to normal. CHIP We have a problem. LAUNCHPAD What, I don't see any. . Launchpad doesn't get to finish his sentence. He quickly takes the yoke and jams it forward. . .hard. EXT. MINIPLANE- DAY The plane dives quickly racing towards the ground. Launchpad skims the top of the trees. The bats are right behind. INT. MINIPLANE - DAY LAUNCHPAD(out of his mind scared) Bats! Millions of um! CHIP There's only got to be a dozen. LAUNCHPAD Does this look like a fighter plane to you? DARKWING(over radio) Launchpad! What's happening up there? LAUNCHPAD Uh. . .I'm a little busy right now, DW. Launchpad does a number of tricks to shake them but it's of no use. The Bat Air Force is hot on their tail. EXT. CLIFFSIDE - DAY We are looking at an ECU of the wench of the HumVee. It is in motion. As the camera pans back it begins to rotate 90 degrees. We now see that the HumVee is pointed straight up. It's dangling in the air from a nearby tree about 25ft from the ground. Gadget sits on the windshield which now acts like an oversized chair. She has the remote for the wench in her hand. Zipper is at her side. It's a slow elevator ride, going down. Dale, Vincent, Monterey, are on the ground watching Gadget's highwire act. VINCENT She's pretty amazing. MONTEREY Yeah, those trucks are really built like Rhinoceros. VINCENT I was taking about Gadget. DALE (crossing arms and looking the other direction) Humph. Back on the HumVee/elevator ride. Gadget and Zipper look out beyond the river. Zipper looks towards the way they came. He tugs on Gadget's sleeve. ZIPPER Uh. .Gadget? GADGET Yes, Zipper? Gadget looks to where Zipper is pointing. She doesn't like what she sees. GADGET Zipper! Fly down there and warn the guys! While the HumVee slowly lowers itself to safety. Zipper, like lightning, races to our miniature heroes. MONTEREY What is it pally? Zipper didn't have to speak. A low rumble could be heard over the rushing water. DALE Uh. .what's that noise? MONTEREY Sounds like a heard of stampeding elephants. VINCENT No. . .it's not that. Zipper. ZIPPER Sir. VINCENT Have Gadget toss us some fire power. (to radio) Darkwing... they've brought out the welcome wagon. EXT. JUNGLE - DAY Our camera sits low to the ground. All is quiet. Suddenly the ground begins to shake, the foliage begins to stir. Then from straight ahead the rats charge right towards the camera. There's lots of them. Fangs, fur, claws, slime, and red eyes begin to fill the screen. INT. DARKWING'S COMMUNICATION'S TRAILER - DAY DARKWING(to Vincent) I want you to lay down a steady stream of firepower but remember, short and controled bursts. (to Calamity) Things are not going to plan. CALAMITY I'll say. DARKWING (to himself) This thing is going to be over in two minutes. (to Calamity) Get me Launchpad back. Calamity shakes his head and goes back to the controls. Then a beep is heard from one of the trackers. Both Calamity and Darkwing look to the monitor. There is indeed a blip on the screen. It's closing fast on the trailer. INT. MINIPLANE - DAY Launchpad and Chip are still in a dog fight with the bats. Launchpad is flying low beneath the trees dodging branches and tree limbs. A la speeder bikes from Return of the Jedi. EXT. MINIPLANE/JUNGLE - DAY The Bats are right behind the plane. One of them takes a swipe at the fragile aircraft. It rips a hole clear through the rudder. Another lunges towards the plane and grabs on to the tail section. Another tries to do the same but with Launchpad's slick flying the Bat slams into a tree. It makes a large splat. INT. MINIPLANE - DAY LAUNCHPAD There's one on the tail! CHIP Don't you have a sidearm? LAUNCHPAD I'm a pilot not a fighter. CHIP Great... Chip looks out to the tail section. He can see the Bat on the tail of the plane. Like a gremlin, it's ripping the plane apart. Chip looks down and sees a first aid kit. He quickly snatches it and opens the cover. He pulls out a flare gun and flare. Chip climbs into the back of the plane. He sets down the flaregun and pulls the fire extinguisher from it's holder located to his right. He pulls the extinguisher back with both hands. EXT. MINIPLANE - DAY We're now looking from the Bats POV. Chip smashes out the rear window of the plane. The plastic glass goes everywhere. INT. MINIPLANE - DAY We see the Bat cringe as the little plastic shards pelt him. Chip sets down the extinguisher, picks up the flare gun and loads the round in. One of the bats claws at the left wing of the plane causing the plane to wobble. LAUNCHPAD We're losing her! CHIP I'm trying if you could hold the plane steady. LAUNCHPAD Tell *them* that! Chip aims the flare gun right at the Bat. He fires. EXT. MINIPLANE - DAY The flare launches out from inside the cabin and smacks the bat square in the head. It explodes charring the bat. The bat is now fused to the back of the plane and on fire. The rudder and tail flaps are frozen. INT. MINIPLANE - DAY Chip watches in amazement. LAUNCHPAD Put the fire out! Chip goes for the extinguisher. But as he does another bat smashes through the side window. It tries to claw it's way in. Chip smacks it in the head with the extinguisher. It's delirious for a moment. Chip gets his chance to make his move. He drops the extinguisher and picks up the flare gun and jumps for the front seat. He loads another round in. EXT. JUNGLE - DAY One of the bats is hiding behind a tree, TREE BAT. We can hear the small plane buzz towards us. The bat jumps out in front of the plane. INT. MINIPLANE - DAY Launchpad wasn't expecting this. LAUNCHPAD Arrrrrggghhh!! EXT. MINIPLANE/JUNGLE - DAY The bat realizes that this wasn't such a good idea. INT. MINIPLANE - DAY The bat in the rear of the plane continues to claw it's way in. Chip aims and fires. At that moment however, Launchpad smashes right into the Tree Bat head on. Guts go flying everywhere covering the plane in red and green slop. The flare smacks into the Bat hanging just outside the rear compartment, knocking it off. The flare bounces around inside the cabin. Chip falls backward onto the airplanes controls forcing the plane down. Launchpad tries to compensate but it's far to late. EXT. MINIPLANE - DAY The plane is smoking like a 74 Pinto then the entire tail end explodes in a huge fire ball. It's a scene right from a WWII dog fighting movie. EXT. JUNGLE - DAY The Jungle is still. Then woooooosh! The plane on fire flies right above us. The plane crashes right in between two trees ripping the wings off. It smacks right into a bog. Water goes everywhere. The plane is a complete wreck. For a moment, everything's quiet. A real surreal setting, like a painting. LAUNCHPAD Heh! Better than the amusement park. CHIP Oh yeah, a real E-ticket. EXT. CLIFFSIDE - DAY The HumVee is still dangling in the air still too high to drop with Gadget in it. Gadget is on her hands and knees looking straight down on Dale, Vincent, Monterey and Zipper. GADGET About another 90 seconds guys! Back down on the ground. Vincent, Dale, and Monterey have large caliber rifles. The rifles are overunder style with machine gun on top and grenade launcher on the bottom. All except Vincent's which has an autoloading shotgun instead of the grenade launcher. DALE 90 seconds to what? MONTEREY The end. VINCENT Remember, you've got 95 rounds each. MONTEREY Right. And four grenades. VINCENT(to Dale) You ready kid? DALE I-I think so. VINCENT Good cause *I'm not.* Zipper. I want you up in the truck with Gadget. ZIPPER Uh ugh. MONTEREY Do as he says Zip. ZIPPER Okay. Zipper flies up to the dangling HumVee. VINCENT(to headset) As soon as you think it's safe Gadget, hit the release on the winch. And we'll tear ass out of here. GADGET Roger. About 60 seconds. INT. Over there. .get um! The sound of gun fire fills the audio track. DARKWING Vincent!? LP!? The blip on the tracker monitor is really close now and beeping louder. A moment passes and then something big rocks the trailer, extremly hard. Darkwing and Calamity hang on for the ride. EXT. CLIFFSIDE - DAY Vincent, Dale, and Monterey are involved in a massive firefight with the blood thirsty rodents. VINCENT Kill um! MONTEREY On your right Dale! Dale turns and fires the rifle. It knocks him on the ground. Monterey goes to pick him up. They both get jumped by a rat. Dale rams the rifle into the rats gut. He pulls the trigger. The bullets rip right through the rats body. It falls limp. Monterey pulls the dead rat off of them. They've got rat parts all over them. MONTEREY You alright pally!? DALE Never better. Yuck... INT. VINCENT'S HUMVEE - DAY Gadget sees that there are to many beasts for the boys to handle. She quickly makes her way into the cabin of the truck through the driverside window. EXT. CLIFFSIDE - DAY Back on the ground. The fire fight continues. The rats come in droves. Our heroes are quickly running out of rounds. Several rats make it through the barricade of bullets. One jumps on Monterey. MONTEREY Arrrrrgghhh! INT. VINCENT'S HUMVEE - DAY Gadget can see that Monterey has been tackled by the mouse hungry rat. GADGET I'm Comin' Monty! EXT. CLIFFSIDE - DAY Monterey wrestles with the rat but with the cunning of a tiger the rat takes a bite out of Monterey. Monterey's reflexes make him throw a whopping punch knocking the rat out cold. Monty gets up and is ready to fight with just his fists. But the rats venom is in his system. Monterey goes out unconscious. INT. VINCENT'S HUMVEE - DAY Gadget scans the dash and locates the release for the wench. She pushes the button. The wench lets go. EXT. CLIFFSIDE - DAY The HumVee falls a good ten or so feet. The weight of the engine brings it about 15 degrees and it lands on all four wheels crushing two of the evil rats. INT. VINCENT'S HUMVEE - DAY Gadget slams the truck into gear and spins all four tires on top of the vermin's smashed bodies. EXT. CLIFFSIDE - DAY Vincent is down to his last few rounds. He turns to see that Monterey is down. He looks to Dale. Dale is nowhere to be found. Vincent becomes frantic. In between words he fires the shotgun portion of his rifle. VINCENT Dale. Dale! Where are you!? Vincent runs out of ammo. He tosses his weapon around his shoulder and picks up Monterey's. He fires the grenade launcher four times at the ground making an instant moat 10 meters in front of him. Gadget pulls up in the HumVee. Vincent tosses Monterey's weapon. GADGET Where's Dale!? ZIPPER(in shock) Monty! VINCENT I don't know? Help me get Monty in the truck. Gadget quickly gets out of the HumVee and they both lug the large mouse into the back seat. Zipper goes to Monterey's aid. Gadget runs back to the drivers seat. Vincent straps the unconscious Monterey in the back seat. At that moment Gadget sees a evil rat charging at Vincent. GADGET Look out behind you! Vincent turns around and smacks the charging rat with the steel door. The rat is squirming around on the ground. More rats come charging towards them. INT. VINCENT'S HUMVEE - DAY VINCENT(getting in the HumVee) Get us outta here! GADGET What about Dale!? VINCENT There's no time. Right now we've got to get Monterey back to the trailer. GADGET I can't leave Dale. VINCENT Dale might be dead. Monterey has been bit. If we don't get him back he's gonna die. Gadget weeps a bit as does Zipper. They tear off leaving the wretched rodents behind. EXT. JUNGLE - DAY With Gadget driving they race back to Darkwing's communication trailer. INT. VINCENT'S HUMVEE - DAY Vincent keys his radio headset while reloading his rifle. VINCENT Darkwing. . . Darkwing come in, over. Darkwing. .where are you? Calamity? GADGET How come they re not responding? VINCENT(to Gagdet) I don't know. (into headset) Darkwing, Calamity, Monterey is down and we've lost Dale. Get the med kit ready, over. (to Gadget) They must ve seen the monitors. It'll be okay. We can track Dale with the trailer. EXT. VINCENT'S HUMVEE/JUNGLE - DAY The battered HumVee tears off through the jungle. EXT. JUNGLE - DAY Dale is running full bore with rifle in hand. His tattered, dirty clothes make him look like a solider that has just been through combat. He's breathing hard. Then Dale disappears. DALE EIYEEEEE! EXT. BLACK PIT. We open up in pitch black. Then we see a pair of eyes. The eyes do some rustling around and then we can hear the sounds of a lighter. The lighter flicks a couple of times and then lights. The lighter is brought close to the pair of eyes. With the light of the lighter we can now see that it is in fact Dale without a headset or rifle. Dale begins to sniff around. DALE Something smells funny. Dale looks around and begins to follow his nose. He comes across a modern looking lantern on the wall. He grabs it but doesn't light it. Dale continues to walk a short distance until he runs into something at his feet. Dale bends down to take a look. It's one of Brain s rats, dead. The body is partly decomposed and covered with flesh eating maggots. Dale once again runs for his life. DALE EIYEEEEE! EXT. DARKWING'S COMMUNICATION TRAILER - DAY Gadget, Vincent, Zipper, and a still unconscious Monty pull up in the HumVee. They stare in wonder at what lays before them. The trailer lays tipped over on it's side. The side pointed toward the sky has mammoth sized dents in it. Gadget, Vincent, and Zipper get out to have a look. VINCENT Where's the truck? Then from inside the trailer a loud bang is heard. It startles our heroes. Vincent grabs his rifle and points it right toward the trailer door. He gets next to the trailer and bangs the side with the butt end of the rifle. GADGET Nothing? Vincent gives her a puzzled look. Vincent goes around to the back of the trailer and carefully opens the now horizontal door with his rifle. INT. DARKWING'S COMMUNICATION TRAILER - DAY We can see a small crack of light and as it widens we can make out part of Vincent and his rifle. The camera goes charging towards the door. Vincent can now see this. EXT. DARKWING'S COMMUNICATION TRAILER - DAY VINCENT Crap. Vincent throws himself up against the door in attempt to block what ever is coming out. He drops the rifle just in front of him. The brute force inside the trailer crashes in to the steel door nearly ripping it off of it's hinges knocking Vincent momentarily away. VINCENT Get the damn door! Zipper and Gadget assist Vincent with the door. The brute force continues to pound it's way through. VINCENT Gadget, you're the genius here, think of something! GADGET Right! Hmmmm. Give me a moment. BAM! BAM! BAM! VINCENT I'm not sure that's an option. GADGET (looks down at rifle) I've got it! I'll be right back. Gadget races around the corner of the trailer. VINCENT(with concern) Hurry, please. Gadget is now on what was the side but now the roof of the trailer. She rips open one of the Compartments. GADGET No. That's not it. Vincent and Zipper are still fighting with the door. VINCENT Uh. . .could you hurry it up up there? Gadget opens another compartment. GADGET Got it! Gadget pulls out a small handsized capsule marked "smoke." Gadget runs down to the back of the trailer where Vincent and Zipper are. VINCENT(to Zipper) So, is it flies or ants that can lift ten times their own weight? ZIPPER (shrugging) I don't know. Gadget on a mission comes around the corner. VINCENT How ya doing? GADGET Oh fine. I just need to borrow your rifle. VINCENT By all means. . . The brute force still continues to slam into the door. Gadget runs back around the corner to where the actual roof is. She stands but a few feet away and racks a 12 guage round into the Shotgun portion of Vincent's rifle. She fires the massive weapon right into the trailer causing a large hole to be cut in the roof. VINCENT I hope she knows what she's doing. Gadget tosses the rifle and runs up to the newly punctured hole. She pulls the pin on the capsule. GADGET Here goes everything. The little capsule begins to smoke and she tosses it into the trailer. She runs back to the boys side. GADGET Approximately ten seconds. VINCENT Approximately? The pounding stops. INT. DARKWING'S COMMUNICATION TRAILER - DAY We are now looking at a small crack of light. The door opens once again and Vincent, Gadget, and Zipper, stand ready for. . . A dazed mutant rat that has all but destroyed the inner workings of the trailer. EXT. DARKWING'S COMMUNICATION TRAILER - DAY ALL Ewooooooow. VINCENT Alright. Let's get the anti-venom serum into Monterey Jack, then try to get this thing back on it's wheels. GADGET/ZIPPER Right. VINCENT Who wants to move the dead rodent? INT. BRAIN'S HEADQUARTERS - GARAGE - DAY We are looking at an extremely large garage housing all kinds of construction equipment used for building a structure of this magnitude. A large door at the end of the metallic and concrete structure opens and standing at the other side of the door is a massive, drab green, six wheeled, amphibious, vehicle once used for the military. It slowly lumbers in puffing black smoke. It looks pretty evil. The truck comes to a stop and as the camera scales up the side of the vechile, none other than Fat Cat in a army helmet opens the top hatch. FAT CAT Alright you incompetent fools. Get that debris outta my rig! MEEPS Sure thing boss. The rear hatch folds down with the use of hydraulics. Darkwing's HumVee rolls out backwards with Mole at the helm. MOLE Coming through! INT. FAT CAT'S RIG - DAY Darkwing and Calamity are chained to a hand cart which is chained the side of the rig. Wart stands guard with machine gun in hand. Darkwing looks very, very, mad. DARKWING (Narrowing his eyes to give a deadly glare toward Fat Cat) When I get outta here I'm gonna destroy everything on this island! Fat Cat stands silhouetted against the light at the tail end of the rig. FAT CAT What do we have here? Pint sized crimefighters. . they get smaller all the time. DARKWING I'm gonna start with you, Leisure Suit Harry. FAT CAT Tisk tisk tisk. Now let's not call each other names. .Wart! WART Yesssss bossssssss. FAT CAT Throw these two in the holding cell! WART But, wheressss that bossssss? FAT CAT (ponders thought) Hmmmmmm where indeed... throw them to the children! WART Okay, bosssss. DARKWING You haven't seen the last of me. . . Darkwing Duck! FAT CAT I believe I have. . .until dinner. Duck a la rounge for an entree'. . .and oh my. . . look, Coyote for desert. Calamity folds his hands and looks away from Fat Cat in disgust. FAT CAT Take them away boys! Darkwing and Calamity are "dragged" out of the room a la The Pengiun in The Wrong Trousers. EXT. JUNGLE - EARLY EVENING The shot opens on an empty frame filled with only the background of jungle foliage. Chip then walks into the frame with Launchpad right behind. Launchpad has on a backpack in edition to his normal outfit. Chip has some kind of locating device in his hand. LAUNCHPAD I'll bet they re wondering where we ve been? CHIP I'll bet. Shouldn't be to much further now. LAUNCHPAD I sure hope so, this jungle gives me the creeps. CHIP(pointing) Should be right over that hill there. Chip looks toward the direction of the hill. We are now looking at a reverse angle of the hill. Chip's and Launchpad's heads pop up over the dirt hill. They look in awe at the site before them. Chip breaks out the binoculars and looks through them. Once again were looking via Chip's binoculars POV. It's unfocused to start with but then becomes quickly focused. We are looking at what appears to be an extremely large factory built partially inside a volcano. Chip's binoculars focus on a large metal door similar to the one that Fat Cat drove his rig into. The door is slowly opening. Normal view. LAUNCHPAD (pointing) Hey! Look at that. Chip focuses on the door. At that moment a half a dozen rats come pouring out of the opening. CHIP I think we found what we re looking for. At that moment Chip's headset goes off. VINCENT(over radio) Dale? Chip? Launchpad? Come in, over? LAUNCHPAD About time. CHIP Yeah, we're here and read you loud and clear, over. INT. DARKWING'S COMMUNICATIONS TRAILER - EARLY EVENING Gadget, Vincent and Zipper have some how managed to get the communications trailer back upright. The trailer is an absolute mess. Only half of the lights are working. All six monitors are showing fuzz. Calamity's lap top is in two pieces. Monterey is lying unconscious on a fold out bed that is built into the wall of the trailer. VINCENT Good, cause we got problems. Vincent tries to put the lap top computer back together like a puzzle but the pieces don't quite fit. At that moment something shorts out causing sparks to go flyi
